BACKGROUND:
A good friend of mine got me hooked on the original Half-Life (the first FPS I really enjoyed) back when it was still new, and I was addicted to PC gaming up until shortly after HL2:Ep.1 came out. Around then, I started having terrible computer problems, and being a college student, I didn't have enough money to fix or replace my computer. (Luckily, I managed to finish Ep. 1 before it became unusable.) I began playing games with my other friends who were big console gamers more and more, and I ended up getting an Xbox 360 instead of a new computer. I pretty much became a console gamer for a time, until I got a good deal on a gaming laptop. Now I float between console and PC gaming as whim and functional technology allow.
