If you haven't played Half Life 2 then you haven't experienced one of the most polished, innivotive and well written single player FPSs of all time.

The Metacritic score shows this game is 'average' and I find it hard to disagree.

The graphics are nice (if you like the jungle) and the objectives have some variety.

It suffers from problems with enemy AI, level design and some of the levels aren't really suitable for sniping.

Certain are played from two perspectives, one from the sniper and then again from the assault team that you covered as the sniper which is a nice variation. The problem is it is a very very average FPS once you remove the sniping.

The sniping feels good and is fairly accurate, you must have a low heart rate on the monitor to get a good shot and the breathing control or 'slow mo' ability is a good way to improve that accuracy. It can't be abused and if you're under fire or out of breath it takes you longer to get a shot.

I think with a bit of tweaking to the level design, some more customisable options for your character and weapon it would be much better.
