Every time a CoD trailer comes out, it's the same:
The community gets excited, willing to suspend their disbelief and hope that the next title will be as good as CoD4. They make their breakdown videos, their prediction videos, etc., and generate all the preorders and hype Activision/Infinity Ward could ever want. They buy the game, they tell themselves it's good, but a few months later, the walls come down, and the next few months become perpetual bitching about the mechanics of a game which, half a year ago, they had such high hopes for.

Then spring rolls around, and the cycle begins again, just as it is doing now. The misguided hope begins again, people start talking about the new game as if it will save the franchise after seeing one trailer, but a few months after launch, they'll all be bitching about OP this, e-Sports that, until they get distracted by MW4 or whatever the next Infinity Ward title will be.
