I normally would not recommend a triple A game, becuase they get the spotlight and if you cared enought about them you would keep it on your radar. Portal 1 was universally praised and this...
Quite simply, it improves on every single element of the original. The story is more intriguing. It starts out in similar fashion to the original, with test subject Chell forced into a battle of wits against malevolent, cold calculating GLaDOS, but grows so much more. It's difficult to explain without spoiling it but it features a number of characters with famous voice actors whilst maintaining the lonely atmosphere of a rat trapped in a cage. It's funnier than the original too. GLaDOS remains the star but characters such as Wheatley and Cave Johnson will leave a lasting impression.
The puzzles are great, leaving you completely stumped one moment and feeling like a genius the next. There's few highs in video games and this won my heart and placed it as my top game of 2011.
Its a reversed Tower Defence game your on the conveyor belt, you change directions and lead your troops, to point B. you change your troops positions, upgrade them and buy more troops, you run around as a bobby repairing your convoy of troops and deploy over abilities, oh it starts of being set in iraq - sound wierd? it is. Is it any good, try the demo out if you fun, get it while its on offer.
Dungeon Defenders is a single player and co-op tower defence game where you lay down your defence then unleash wave upon wave of A.I. horde, gameplay is fun multiplayer, quite boring single player, the game does get tense fairly early on and sets a nice challange. there is lots and lots of loot, and lots of character building.
Best to played online mode (and thats the only way to unlock achievments).
You can go split screen on the game too, so you can have a mate jump on one of your characters.
Nice to see lots of updates bug fixes and new content. at time of writing this its almost 2 updates per day!
