what a game! i hate to rave about the soundtrack, since so many often do, but it really is something special. one of the first game soundtracks i've ever purchased, and felt good about purchasing. the gameplay catches a lot of crap, and i can see why, but i think that if you experiment with your loadout enough, the game stays fresh. a lot of people just stick with the hammer/repeater, which is good, but can get really boring really fast. only two characters have any real voice work, and it's done absolutely beautifully. the characters and their stories are compelling, and you'll do the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level over and over to learn more about them. the story started off confusing and difficult to get into, but the more you learn, the more interested you become.

highly recommend even at full price. get the soundtrack, too.
