I am He who is called 'I Am.' I am also occasionally referred to as Jacob Rinther. Also sometimes referred to as 'Sonic Boyster,' or sometimes just 'Boyster.' Never 'God,' though, because -that- would be ostentatious.
It's a little short but if you're into Sonic in all of his various iterations you'll find this game is totally worth the PC asking price ($30 at the time of release). Nine fantastic stages, simple but entertaining boss battles, solid remixes of the music from each stage, and the most well received gameplay from modern and classic eras. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it certainly celebrates it.
A colorful world with an impressive sound track provide the backdrop to this exceptional action-adventure experience. If the story doesn't push you toward completion the weapons and upgrades will. Not a long game, but a strong game, with a New Game+ feature built in if you want to explore anything you missed the first time around.
I dig my hole you build a wall. Join us in the Bastion.
If you haven't played through the original Bioshock, go do that. It's cheap, the graphics still hold up years after the fact, and the atmosphere is unmatched in modern shooters. If you have, on the other hand, played Bioshock, and if you've enjoyed the gameplay and atmosphere of Bioshock, you should consider Bioshock 2.
If you can look past the criticisms about this game being developed by a seperate team than the first game, you'll see that it's a genuinly solid addition to the franchise. The mechanics are refined, the story is entertaining, the DLC is exceptional, and it's an opportunity to revisit the setting of the original game. It's a way to get back into Rapture without having to reinstall and play through the original game all over again, and it does a fine job of bringing the world back to life.
