A game that if not for its gameplay, should be praised for its wonderful polish; the art, sound and story weave together seamlessly to create an immersive world rich in puzzles waiting to be solved using non-uniform spacetime. However, there is nothing to fault in the gameplay, which is continuously intriguing. The game is of good length, and has replay value in collecting stars for an alternate ending, and speed-run mode. The sheer quality of production makes this one of my favourite games ever.

Where exploring the boundaries of its universe is the whole game. A beautiful piece of audio visual art.

Innovative comedy magic RPG.
The game thrives on its magic system which allows the player (i.e. me) to combine classical elements to make custom spells, with many interesting effects.
It certainly deserves praise for not restraining the player character from doing stupid things, such as drown/burn/freeze-ing oneself, as is done all too often in the most popular modern games.
The developers of this game certainly considered improvisation as a core game mechanic. One problem with games like Oblivion was that taking fire and frost damage at the same time actually worked, which didn't really make sense.

It's a game where practically anything you can imagine is possible with enough LUA or Wire.
I can see how fun this game would be with multiple players, but I can't asses that aspect since I don't know anyone irl who owns the thing.
You will build boats out of floating materials. You will blow up copious amounts of barrels. You will assemble intricate circuitry for a laser targeting system, only to forget about it the next day. You will play through Source games with Garrysmod weapons. You will spawn so many zombies you get an out of edicts error.
The only problem I really had with this game was the lack of challenge. Unless you're playing online there isn't one. Minecraft has its monsters, but GMod has nothing in sandbox. That said, this game is ridiculously fun with mods like Wire, stargate and Space[mod].
One last problem was that you couldn't bring contraptions with you on level transiton in Source.Your enormous mothership would fall apart because the welds were not carried over.
