If you like battlefield. get it. If you like any RTS, get it. If you like BOTH battlefield and RTSs, then you my friend win twice.
This is a niche game. This is a HL2 mod, much like CSS or DODS, made with a source engine that is showing its age. The game has its share of bugs but the devolpers have stated that they are working on it and have released patches that fix most of the game-breaking ones. PLAY THIS WITH FRIENDS! If you have plated an indie game before you know what to expect from them, and in an indie reguard this game is amazing, but compared to games with a larger budget it doesn't hold up as well. This really is a case of "Your Mileage May Vary". Pick it up if you want something different.
Yes, you can play this even if you have never played an Elder Scroll game before. If you like anything that has an R followed by the letters P and G then you will enjoy this...unless you have a fear of spider...or dragons.
