One memory that I will always have is being a wee lass and watching my mother play Doom. Due to this I'm now absolutely terrified of pig noises.

Recently I picked up ULTIMATE DOOM during a Steam Sale and decided to play it. I got through a few levels before becoming too scared. Even though I'm a lot older Doom still scares me. It could possibly be because I'm a 20-something whose blood solely composes of diet soda and nostalgia, but I think the real reason is because the game still holds up.

The controls, although turning is a little slow no matter what sensitivity you are set at, are easy. The graphics aren't incredibly awful, and aren't far off from what a modern indie game is capable of.

If story is your big thing, then put away your wallet. Doom came from a time where plot wasn't a huge driver. The plot is almost non-existent and it works. Sometimes it's fun just to shoot a cyberdemon with a BFG.
