This is an incredibly fun and creative game. Mixing fps and rhythm elements is a surprisingly great mix. The different weapons feel great to use and the on-beat slaughter mechanic really adds that "oomph". While the campaign is rather short (I managed to 100% the game in under 6 hours), the Archdevil difficulty mixes up the monster spawns for a fresh experience and the new Horde mode is fun for the short time I've tried it. Overall, I would recommend this game, even if you don't particularly like metal music!

Early Access Review
This brings me back to my Battlefield 3 days, I would play all evening after school for months. Don't let the graphics deter you, this is a riot to play. Even better with friends if you have those.

Performance is fine for an older system (i7 7700k, GTX 1080ti). Medium settings with resolution set to 75% (of 1440p) gets a solid 70fps. I have had 1 crash since playing for 4 hours but otherwise, no issues. I'm not too far, beat a few bosses and I'm really enjoying the game. The combat is fun and I love the puzzle solving elements of having two simultaneous worlds. Haven't tried co-op yet but I assume it has the same issues as other soul-like games of progress not being shared.

Overall, I'd recommend the game if you enjoy the genre and have beaten all of the FromSoft titles. And if you haven't already, I'd recommend Elden Ring.

Incredibly fun as a co-op game even if a little stressful at times. Always leaves us laughing.

Extremely fun roguelite. Each weapon has its own unique playstyle, the boons add huge variety in builds, the art is gorgeous, the heat system makes post-game interesting, and the story is fantastic. 10/10 would recommend.

TL;DR: This is a very fun game and it has something for everyone. Young, old, casual, hardcore, we all get that same dopamine rush from collecting Kyber Bricks. Solid 8.5/10.

The Good
* The new open-world aspect where you can go anywhere you've previously discovered is really cool.

* The new combat mechanics reward you for doing combos instead of button mashing (though button mashing is still pretty effective!)

* Speaking of new combat mechanics, when turning off the auto aiming parts of aim-assist, guns feel REALLY good. Knocking helmets of storm troopers to then 1 shot them is incredible.

* While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, the voice acting is top tier along with the jokes and delivery.

* The puzzles are great fun and at times can even be challenging to solve.

* The story missions are the same great fun they've always been. It makes me want to watch the movies after finishing an episode.

* The jokes and references are as hilarious as ever for both kids and adults alike.

* The visuals are stunning! The textures on some of the non-Lego objects rival most modern games.

* The sound design is on point. Whether its ambient noise, music or blaster fire, the developers put a lot of effort making sure everything sounds great.

The Bad
* Quite a few bugs. From a simple controller not responding to entering a cutscene only to be met with a black screen that must be Alt+F4'd. They aren't too frequent but hopefully they prioritize fixing them.

* Alt-tabbing (or even sometimes using the steam overlay) while in full screen mode will force the resolution back to your native, but capped at 24 frames. Can be fixed by editing config files but shouldn't be happening.

* The options are lacking. Particularly the display options, no brightness setting and very little graphical control.

* Forced camera angles at random points in the game are between annoying to down right infuriating. Want to explore a boss area for minikits? Best we can do is a forced target lock on the boss. Trying to do this jumping section? Let me change your camera to a static wide angle mid-jump so you die.

* Co-op issues. While overall this has been a blast to play with my fiancee, there are a myriad of small to bigger issues surrounding coop that we've found. When one player swaps characters, it will force the other player's character select open and ignore any inputs until they close it. No horizontal split-screen which makes certain activities like timed races where you can't see the next checkpoint very annoying. The excess party members will decide to randomly follow a player with no way (that we've found) to assign them, making some puzzles much more difficult if you decide to split up. No way to turn friendly fire off in a game that has wide swings and where you fight bosses in 2v1 scenarios is pretty silly. There are more but these are just the ones that comes to mind.

One of the best co-op video games ever released. The devs are constantly adding great new content for free. I think they intended this game to be a developer simulator since all you do is squash bugs.

Fun, casual RPG. The controls are nicely layed out, the combat is fun, the dodging mechanic feels very fluid. The loot is RNG and feeds on my addiction to always keep upgrading gear. However, its a very short game. I managed to beat the game (level ~87) with all side missions in about 6 hours. While the strikeout text is true, there is a different New Game + mode called, Mew Game. This adds modifiers to the new game where you can earn powerful new rewards. I have not played this yet so I cannot comment on it.

Overall, I would recommend to those who like casual RPGs with upgradable loot, but only at a significant discount (~$5)

This game is great fun and friends make it even better but, I'm going to be honest with you, I'm just doing this for the community badge.
