You were warned to never mess with the fur. Now prepare to die.
In every group of predators, there are those that are regarded as the best. I happen to be the worst among them.
My eyes can see very far away
But only from my mind
Like future wars and shattered worlds
Or civilization refined
To know me more is not that hard
Science fiction for me is true
I am in there, a daydream's spark
I live inside of you

This game not only looks like art but also runs like a well oiled machine even in its Beta stage.
It's a tournament held in one map with an endless combination of heroes, items, and player behavior to make this a very deep game. There is a reason why people play this for years. Though every time we all start out with a clean slate, by the end of the match, there will be heroes.
If you like strategy mixed with fantasy in an online sport, you should definitely play this. Or you could just watch and be the biggest fan.
A modern Space Opera of what Star Wars could have been had Bioware been free to do as it pleases with George Lucas' franchise. Bioware's experience in crafting memorable RPGs show in this finely orchestrated adventure. Through some game mechanics are rather awkward and using an interface that's simplified for consoles, the game did not disappoint when it came to delivering an epic. There's a bunch of alien races living together and something bad happens that affects them all. The fate of the galaxy lies in your hands with the help of some friends.
Perhaps the only thing holding it back is how its sequels are bound to EA and Origin. It would have been great to have enjoyed the developer's hard work without having to go through EA's "service".
I'm looking forward to enjoying a complete edition of Mass Effect 2 and 3 if it were to suddenly appear on Steam. Hopefully, while it is still relevant.
What I liked about Dark Messiah was the fear of the enemy's attack when on the hardest settings. I found myself running away from enemies all the time. Seeing them at the end of corridors freaked the hell out of me. I didn't have enough upgrades most of the time. Enemies were too powerful. At times, I thought maybe going on hardest was a bad idea. I did finish it though. At long last. It felt great.
The settings were beatiful and you had that feeling of dread when you were near or in the presence of evil. This is a really good but somewhat flawed example of a first person melee fantasy game. Way better than any other game in its time. it was too bad they didn't continue supporting this game like other Source Engine powered games. I would have loved to re-visit Might and Magic in first person.
