I'm puttin bumps on nuckas' heads, so I can read em with phrenology
When I'm on the mic, it's like halfway boast, and half-apology

6 Player Co-op Wave Based Horde Mode has never been better! Come to jolly old England...But bring your guns. An experiment gone bad has released H.O.B.O.D. (Humaniform Organisms Bent On ly on Devouring) (NOT OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION) into the streets of our once verdant green. Come and shoot them all in the faceholes, using the best ballistics in any current game (with the POSSIBLE exception of the ARMA series). There's a Persistent Rank system for each of the separate classes (Sniper, Assault, Shotgun, Flame, Explosives, Melee, Medic), and as you rank up, you get perks and cheaper Class-focussed weapons at the Trader. You can change classes at the end of any wave, no weapon is restricted, assuming you have the carrying capacity and moneh to spare.
Tripwire has been supporting this game for over 2 years, STILL releasing new weapons, maps, enemies, events, skins, and even classes.
They also chose to make ONLY character skins are Pay DLC; every other piece of game content is free to all.
I'm going to call this a "new Rogue-like" in that it takes the Rogue-like qualities of randomized dungeon levels, item drops, and permadeath, and transfers it into a different style of game (Spelunky is another current example). Once you get a handle on the Robotron-esque movement and firing, you'll find yourself killing flies and Larrys and Lil Chubs all day! There are many unlockable items and dungeon floors, and the Wrath Of The Lamb expansion adds many more, including an entire category of equippable pickups, new rooms, new enemies and bosses, and Holy items.
Ahhh. Good ol' Turn Based Dungeon Crawling. Always fun! Even more fun with the addition of Crafting, as well as the multitudes of upgradable skills in Warrior/Thief/Wizard categories (you can select 7 in any combination for each new character). Many unique items await your discovery (and can be sent for XPs and storage by the government if you happen to have Archeologist skill).
The veddy British Humour and pop culture references continue to amuse.
The game has proven to be much deeper than the purchase price suggested.
i actually left that game on while playing Portal 2 coop.
hadn't realized that Portal 2 didn't show up as the "In-Game" status...
