A vast and beautiful world masterfully rendered, in which you'll become lost for hours within all it's wonder; Skyrim is by far the greatest entry in The Elder Scrolls saga thus far.

This game is a single player experience like none other this year, in which from the very begining you're set free to explore it's open world as you see fit. No two plays throughs will ever be the same, as players are free not only to progress through the story at their own pace, but also to completely customize their character in any way they see fit.

On a technical standpoint, Skyrim delivers the most immersive and realistic virtual world yet without demanding the best hardware money can buy. A blend of various environment effects brings the world to life, ensuring that the game never feels static or mechanical.

In short, Skyrim delivers an experience as broad and deep as World of Warcraft set out to be, and in many ways, sets the standard for all RPGs to come.

This game has my vote for game of the year. Improves upon the original in every way. There's a handful of new mechanics that add so much more depth and complexity to the puzzels, of which there are so many to solve. Hilarous dialog strung together to create a massive storyline that will leaving you wishing it would never end. With Portal 2, Valve has proven yet again that the Source engine can still compete with all the rest. Their level designers, who must have spent many hours thinking with portals, masterfully show that creative use of lighting and layout are key to jaw-dropping graphics which will leave you staring in awe.

Overall an excellent single player experience coupled with a challenging and mind-boggling co-op campaign that guarantees many hours of enjoyment.
