All in all, it feels too repetitive and bland.

The music is great, although each level consists of aiming at ships that appear from the edges of the screen. The story is progressed mainly by following different routes from starbase to starbase.

As far as I could tell, there was no feedback as to exactly how long was in each route. As such, it made each map--especially the earlier routes--drone on, and on, and on. The backgrounds are all black with stars as the cargo ship you're 'protecting' moves from the bottom of the screen to somewhere in the middle of the screen.

For upgrades, you buy resources and collect money through the various routes and space stations, which all offer their own slightly-unique selection of goods. They're nothing special: shields, added blasters, missiles/bombs, but adds just a little bit of customizability to an otherwise uninspired game.

All in all, the game would benefit from a form of timer or distance bar, as well as having more variety during routes/missions.

But, as I see it, the game is too bland to recommend for sh'mup fans.
