An incredibly engrossing game that has me addicted. Exploring the vast world is never dull and always beautiful (and ocassionally deadly). The skill trees took some getting used to, but now they are easy to navigate and understand
I'm not really sure what to do with the vast wealth that I've accumulated in the game, but I'm sure I'll find a use for it. I find way more awesome weapons and armor than I can create, and I find more expensive jewelery than I can reasonably sell to the local merchants.
But there always seems like more out there just waiting to be explored. 64 hours into the game, and there still seems like a ton of content to explore and consume.
One of the few recent games that I've actually finished. The story wasn't as strong or deep as I would have liked. You get to interact with a bunch of characters, but they aren't really deep characters and you don't really get a real sense of how hard their lives are. They feel pretty superficial and mostly like ornamentation. You also encouter so few friendly people that its hard to imagine that they've actually built the towns that they are living in. There are far more enemies, so I guess its clear who was winning in this world prior to your appearance.
The environments are beautiful to say the least. Certainly a ton of rich visual detail on screen, which makes it fun to just explore. Even in the interior areas there is so much detail that I spend a lot of time just looking around rooms and admiring the decay.
I am really enjoying Deus Ex. 15 hours so far and I'm really sucked in to the story and characters. It's a great single-player experience with an interesting plot and lots of complex city spaces to explore. The game is beautiful and just a lot of fun to explore in search of hidden areas and side missions.
I always seem to be low on ammo, but then maybe I'm just a terrible aim. I guess you can do a lot with melee take-downs, but I usually forget that I can sneak up on people.
