Vgames is the leading site in the Israeli gaming scene. The site is the largest of its kind in Israel, with about 800,000 UUs every month. The site has 4 main gaming channels: The magazine (reviews, articles, news etc.), Gaming communities (forums, leagues, LAN parties, game servers etc.), Online games (free online flash-based games, creating an online games network with leading portals in Israel etc.) and Game downloads (huge demos index, trailers etc., and a premium service of full free games to download). Vgames supply gaming-related content for other Israeli leading portals, such as YNET, the biggest online newspaper Israel; Shesh, the biggest site for kids in Israel; Globes, a leading financial newspaper, and many many more.

Vgames was founded in 1999 by Internet Zahav (Israeli ISP) as a free gaming content site. In 2001 the site was modified to a newsletter format for paying users only. In 2002 the site became profitable, and a large part of the premium content was opened to the public for free. At the end of 2006, a major shift in management and focus occurred: a new site director, a new senior editor and a new senior programmer came on board, a new look for the site and new channels were created (communities and online games). Since then, the portal has shown a steady growth, with a 100% increase by the end of 2007 in users (from 75k UUs to about 800k UUs a month). On December 2007, the site orginized its first massive gaming event (LAN party - Israel's PC game championship of 2007), with about 2,000 gaming fans in attendance, and a huge exposure in the mainstream press (major internet sites, written press, radio and more).
