Zelda meets roguelike, pepper in a dark storyline with religious overtones, and there you have it. Totally worth the full price, if it goes on sale, pick it up.

Also, once again, I'm doing this for some sort of esoteric seasonal reward. Doesn't change the fact that Isaac is an awesome game.

It's Borderlands with amazing melee combat, unintrusive loot lust, and a halfway decent story to boot. Playing with friends is quite fun, especially if you can manage a group of four friends from start to finish. It feels rather unpolished and there are a few (minor) glitches, but I still say it's worth $50.

$20+DLC this week, so it's a good time to jump into the series if you haven't yet. The gameplay is simplified compared to Civ IV, for better or for worse. At least try the demo before the sale ends.
