A music game where the music is based on your library. Great for those who are often confused when asked to sing to the console versions of rhythm games at parties.
Definitely the pinnacle of this series. The attention to detail such as even the sound level of your footsteps versus the ambient noise of the environment in addition to light levels is a welcome touch. Overall, the level design works really well, and the ability to track your measure at being stealthy is a way to allow yourself to set challenges.
Worth it for having all the DLC. Awakening is mostly brilliant, if a bit flawed and buggy. Leliana's Song is quite excellent and worth it for the story. I enjoyed Darkspawn Chronicles, but avoid the achievements. Witch Hunt worked for my first character, but then had a close relationship with Morrigan. Golem left me annoyed--it was primarily put in there to introduce an enemy that will likely be in the sequel, and provide a challenge for its own sake.
The original game itself was also my GOTY for 2009, so it comes highly recommended. Well worth the price for all the content you'll have (I'd estimate over 100 hours if you do everything as I did).
