Plays like crazy!

The International House of Mojo continues to be the best place in the world for fans of LucasArts' classic adventure games, as well as the games that people who once worked at LucasArts have since created (eg: Double Fine's Psychonauts).

More of an interactive film than a videogame, but it's a step in the right direction for those who want a cinematic experience at the core of their gameplay.

The game forms it's plot with a murder in a New York City diner. From there on, you guide multiple characters on a whodunit journey, leading to Lost type plot twists.
If Indigo Prophecy didn't have a slew of quick time events to get you through the major parts of the game, I would say J.J. Abrahams had a hand in development; The plot gets that hairy.

From a gamers perspective though, I don't appriciate games which try too hard to be like films. Film belongs on the silver screen like Hamlet belongs in a theatre but, Indigo Prophecy does a good job of integrating the videogame experience into a cimematic presentation although the simon-like quicktime events become wearisome.
