Pretty alright shooter game, guns handle great, active cover is working swell in first person and the levelling of your character is neat and gives you just a slight more reason to keep playing it in SP, multiplayer or Coop.
Playing as Fettel is great fun and let you play in a completely different manner, Coop likewise makes the game quite enjoyable.
Of course it isnt without faults, some things make it suffer greatly from Consolitis, most of which have been addressed in a recent patch luckily.
The greatest faults is that it much like every fear game and expansion since the first do not focus on the story, which, frankly is the most interesting thing about the games.
If you want some closure to the Fear series, buy it, if you just lack a decent shooter, consider buying it, otherwise you might just stay away as its one of a dozen other games.
I'm normally not a big fan of horror games, however I decided to give this one a try due to its good reviews and first person gameplay. I was scared like hell most of the time due to the good use of sounds and events, the backstory were interesting and presented to the player in a good way, it made the game more engaging when you got to find out more of how and why everything happens.
I can fully recommend people to buy it, I finished the game in roughly 7 hours, a good length for a good game and it never give you the chance to be bored about it.
Some things are less than ideal of course, an optional task in the game made me extremely confused and I had to look up a FAQ to be sure how to solve it (it turned out I couldn't solve it yet). But overall a great execution in scaring and engaging the player.
First off, this is NOT a Dungeon Keeper clone.
Second, I can NOT recommend anyone to buy it.
So the game basically looked like Dungeon Keeper from the trailers, however it plays completely different (it play like Dungeon Lords or something according to Steam Forums). I did not like this because you are tasked with base building and at the same time to micro your hero in killing adventurers that go into your base. However you only want to kill/capture them when they have filled their satisfaction meter to max. This is doubly annoying when you cannot control your other forces so your hero can be somewhere else. This all ends up in a whole lot of micromanagement and stress for the player.
The game is also quite low-budget, the price set for it is highly overrated, I would value this game at about 30€ due to content and quality of execution. I cannot recommend buying this unless its at 5€ though, and even then I would be a hard sale.
Do not buy.
