Why I don't play online:
I have a satellite ISP and the latency (time it takes to get from the computer to the dish to the satellite in space to the other place and all the way back) is pretty good, but not good enough for online play. In other words I lag online.

Why I don't download stuff all the time:
The satellite ISP has a bandwidth cap (limits how much I can download) so sometimes I have to wait for that to get down a bit.
