Terraria is somewhat like Minecraft, but with a heavy emphasis on Metroid/Castlevania style platforming combat.

Skyrim is a really good game, the sense of immersion, player agancy, place, and grandure rival that of Morrowind, which the gameplay improves on the good parts of Oblivion.

It's not without its problems however, strangely broken controles, confusing and mileading menus, and a less than useful 3d map taint the experience for now, until either Bethesda, or more likely the modding community can smooth them over.

With its flaws Skyrim is a game which stands out as a diamond in the rough, a coherent, player focused, story driven experience the likes of which are in short supply these days.

Releaved of its flaws it will one of the great games.
