Battle of the Clans

Battle of the Clans is South Africa’s largest competitive gaming website. We offer gamers with the highest quality tournaments and up to date news that they can relate to. We cater to all gamers who play online gaming or simply like to keep up to date with what’s hot and happening within the local gaming communities and their favourite clans.

Battle of the Clans started in January 2008 as a small Counter-Strike: Source tournament consisting of 16 teams with no prize money. Throughout the year we have grown the brand by adding some crucial and exciting features. We introduced a new ground breaking website, featuring a ladder system which accurately ranks teams from all games – a first for South Africa. We created a news reporting team consisting of two editors and over twenty writers. We expanded our tournaments to cater for South Africa’s largest online games: Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty: 4 and Team Fortress 2. We have captured the support from these three communities by partnering with the leaders from each game’s community to help market and run the tournaments. In less than eight months we have captured the attention of the majority of the online gaming community
