Where to begin. I would recommend more games if it wasn't for having to type this stuff out. Try the demo.

I certainly didn't get very far in the game, but I've never uninstalled it because I had enjoyed what little I had played. What I can say I like about the game, from the start, is the perspective. The top down view and movement of the camera around each planet / moon was certainly different from other RTS I'd played. There's also a limit on space. It's not something you can continually build almost anything you want. You will run out of space, and quickly. You have to plan what to build and change out buildings as necessary. In the later levels you begin to micro-manage as you have multiple places to colonize and build upon, while encountering other groups that are planning the same. Combat I hadn't gotten into too much, though I do remember that there was the option to design your ships with certain upgrades and as the game goes on, there would obviously be more options.
