I play a bit of console and a bit of PC games. It doesn't really matter what platform it's on, so long as the game is good.

Remember Myst? How would you like a version of it in 3D, where you can freely explore the island and the ages? Sounds like an awesome idea, right? Yeah, I thought so too. Well, here it is. You'll need to make some tweaks to actually get it to run without massive framerate issues, and without crashing, but that's a one-time deal. Also, once you beat the game, you get clues on how to access a 5th age that's exclusive to this version of Myst, called Rime.

Portal 2 is Valve going "oh shit, Portal was more popular than we thought it'd be, we need to follow it up!" That said, even though it can never have the same impact as the original, Portal 2 is by no means a bad game. In fact, it's how a sequel should be done. They expanded on the gameplay mechanics and provided a back story, all the while keeping the puzzles challenging and maintaining the same sense of humor the first game had. On top of that, there's a co-op mode, where you and a friend can solve puzzles that need up to four portals placed at a time.

How could anyone who's played Portal NOT recommend it? The unexpected gem of the Orange Box, Portal makes you think... with portals. Having to solve puzzles where you can join two arbitrary points in the level is a brilliant gameplay mechanic, and I can't believe nobody ever thought of it before.
