The New Online FPS By Ubisoft & Nadeo
Shootmania is an FPS game with a very large competitive scene.
This group is meant to be a congression of the Shootmania players in North America, both from Storm and Elite game modes over steam. Don't hesitate to add those who don't have the beta, as it may help get them interested in playing.
While still in beta, Shootmania's Elite game mode had already been featured in various tournaments, including IPL (IGN Pro League) and ESWC (E-Sports World Cup).
Gameplay in the Storm mode has an increasing number of game types ranging from Royale (last man standing) to Speedball.
Elite, the more competitive game mode uses a 3v1 game type. Two teams of three take turns having one member with a one-hit kill railgun attempt to capture the pole from three rocket wielding deffenders. Ammo is unlimited for both teams as the attacker (with railgun) has the option to eliminate all three defenders or capture the pole within a total of 45 seconds. The pole is only available after 30, allowing 15 seconds for capture.
Once Beta 2 was released, there were new mechanics added to the game such as ricocheting rockets (stand still for 6 seconds to enable), wall jumping, and variable jumping (the longer you hold spacebar, the higher you jump, capping at a normal jump).
>>You can pick up the game for $20 on Steam.
