This is one hell of a mixed bag but in the end it wins me over.
The story is absolute garbage and the dialogue is some of the
worst every written in gaming history "Die you space monkey freaks"!.
Despite this i find that if i play the game thinking it is a comedy taking
the piss out of sci fi series and soap operas then at times i imagine
all sorts of hilarious reasons as to what is going on.

The actual gameplay is pretty standard for a shooter and plays much
like the classic Quake games. The defence missions in the game add
some variety and indeed they feature some of the best defences I
have played in a shooter to date with the interesting inclussion of
turret, shield and marine placement, a little bit like a micro RTS.

Graphics for the time are pretty darn schmick with an overall goofy
design (character and weapon proportions are exaggerated) and saturated
colour palette.

All in all i recommend this game as a basic shooter with some neat ideas that one can chill and play.

Old School gaming at its very best,
From the management style world map to the excellent tactical turn based tactics of ground missions this is a PC classic in every sense of the word.
