Another instant classic from Amanita Design.

What the game does right.

This point-and-click adventure is full of personality. Without ever really telling you anything, it conveys a story that's both cute, surprisingly deep, oddly satisfying and dark. Through it's beautifully drawn screens it manages to build a world that feels alive. There's always some interesting thing to look at.

What the game does wrong.

The only thing I can think of is that some of the puzzles you'll come across are a bit too obscure. Getting stuck can definitely get a bit frustrating. The amount of backtracking you have to at some points also makes it difficult to discern exactly when you need to do what.

Conclusion.

While Machinarium may not be among my favorites of the genre, it's definitely quite a gem. Despite some mildly annoying moments, I had a lot of fun playing through it.
