We're all in the same boat, staying afloat for the moment.

Vareoth Diluculo

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890 - 1969)

"If we value the pursuit of knowledge, we must be free to follow wherever that search may lead us. The free mind is not a barking dog, to be tethered on a ten-foot chain."

Adlai E. Stevenson Jr.(1900 - 1965)

"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers."

Charles W. Eliot (1834 - 1926)

"Ideals are like stars: you will not succeed in touching them with your hands, but like the seafaring man on the ocean desert of waters, you choose them as your guides, and following them, you reach your destiny."

Carl Schurz (1829 - 1906)

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create."

Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)

"The most certain way of insuring victory is to march briskly and in good order against the enemy, always endeavoring to gain ground."

Frederick II of Prussia (1712 - 1786)

"Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company"

Mark Twain (1835 - 1910)

"A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward."

Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882 - 1945)

I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Mahatma Gandhi (1869 - 1948)

"We learn wisdom from failure much more than from success. We often discover what will do, by finding out what will not do; and probably he who never made a mistake never made a discovery."

Samuel Smiles (1812 - 1904)

Its all about money, this criminal justice system, its about greed. We dont have money to try death penalty cases, Judges use it to build a political foothold. State attorneys write books, public defenders get on TV, policemen move up in rank. So everybody gets something out of taking a mans life.

ONE

One word can spark a moment, One flower can wake the dream;
One tree can start a forest, One bird can herald Spring.
One smile can bring a friendship, One handclasp can lift a soul;
One star can guide a ship at sea, One cheer can obtain a goal.

One vote can change a Nation, One sunbeam can lift a room;
One candle wipes out darkness, One laugh will conquer gloom.
One look can change two lives; One kiss can make love bloom.
One step must start each journey, One word must start each prayer;

One hope can raise our spirits, One touch can show you care.
One voice can speak with wisdom, One heart can know what's true;
One life can make a difference, One life is me and you....

I died within the first thirty seconds of Dead Space 2. That should immediately impart an idea of what kind of horror experience to expect. Dead Space 2 is not a slow-burn, psychological thriller that kept me up at night, playing on my natural fear of the unknown. It is an action title that rarely slowed long enough to let me soak in the atmosphere or take stock of the horrors around me. That's unfortunate, because the few moments when things do slow down are genuinely creepy.

The outline of continents and countries glow blue in crisp contours. Orchestral music wafts from the blue and black screen showing Earth’s map. Below, hovering above the outline of a flattened south pole, glows one angry red word, "Defcon," followed by the number one. Next to the number, seconds slip away. Shortly after the countdown hits zero, white dots blossom across the blue and black of the map. The white spreads and then diminishes.

The Witcher 2 is a game that shoots for the sun while its rivals are still lining up their sights on the moon. It’s an AAA RPG with an indie soul, and a charged, exciting adventure you can really sink your teeth into, admire, and for the most part, love. From the raw technical wizardry of the engine, to tent walls rippling in the breeze and villagers running for cover when it rains, it’s a game built with burning, red-raw passion and exactly one goal. To be the best RPG ever, whatever it takes.
