Absolutely Perfect! Everything I wanted Ion Fury to be and more, super fun, play how you want, every weapon is awesome, I mean come on. This is what a game is supposed to be. As a fun bonus, if you play with the sound off you might subconsciously hear Duke's voice popping off quips as you go!

Early Access Review
How did it take me so long to discover this gem!!! Really like it so far, way more fun than Stardew for me, which felt like such a slog. Getting some awesome Terraria vibes already. Played for 1.5 hours and have a cool house with special gear and a bunch of plans. Feels a lot like Starbound used to but with a lot more clarity on what to do (bosses, crystals, etc.). I just hope, being early access, that it doesn't morph into something unfun and different like Starbound did - the charm of that game totally died in updates. A way to play local coop would be awesome!

Been a long time since I played a game for more than 10 minutes because it was actually fun. Great job guys! Satisfies the old swat game itch in a fun, bite size format where decisions matter and technique is rewarded. I found it a lot more fun than Hotline Miami since Hotline is all about spazzy gameplay. This game rewards thought, has a small grind factor to get going, and offers a bunch of levels and options. It would be nice if the infinite/generated mode scaled to the players level, its basically impossible at the moment. Maybe a bit tough in single player as tactics/options are limited in what you have access to vs multiple players, but still fun.

Great on the xbox one, figured it would be fun on PC, big mistake! Completely broken! Launched at first but performance and stutter were awful, made it unplayable (GTX 2070 Super). Wanted to go back in and change occlusion settings as this is said to improve things and it kept crashing/hanging at the load screen. Seems like server connection issues might be the culprit. Also its super tedious to try to disable rumble.

FANTASTIC! Harder to put down than any game I've played in recent memory! Worth the purchase if only to remember what good games designed to be fun were like!

Tastefully done, lots of throwback - giving my nostalgia 2020 resolutions is what this one is all about. Super happy with it so far! Everything is like I remember it and looks how I remember it looking. The graphic updates keep the feel of the original intact, really feels like seeing it 'clearer' instead of remade.

Edit: 5 years later, still wont boot up

Was really hoping for a graphically updated Alpha Centauri, most people were. In fact I'm still waiting, not because the game doesn't live up to expectations but because I CANT PLAY IT. I don't even know what it's like! I was able to run it a few times, confused and annoyed that I couldn't do hardly anything I remembered from AC, then it stopped working and hasn't worked for THE PAST 4 YEARS. Seriously Firaxis?! And of course this will stop any future attempts at this kind of game since it 'didn't do well' or 'wasn't received well'.

I mean its not like its a console port. I just don't get how it worked at launch but not after 4 years of updates and patches. Insane.

Bought it years ago, finally works! I remembered the campaign being nearly unbearable on 360 but the co-op modes were incredible! Now, on PC, I find the single player fun and mindless, albeit with some control learning curve issues. It plays far better on PC and is much less strange to navigate. Perfect when you want a simple corridor shooter. The audio also needed a lot of tweaking to make any sense, effects are far too quiet off the bat.

Lots of weird design issues and lacks polish here and there. The actuall shooting areas and gameplay is quite good. Probably should have just been a level based corridor shooter with a menu based item/upgrade shop between levels. The rpg and driving bits are all poorly polished. Still fun for a few dollars!

Its EDF, if you know, then you know its good. On a side note the price should have been $34.99 at launch, as in full price. I bought 2025 two or three years ago for $40 at launch. PC ports are typically always cheaper and this is essentially 2017 and 2025 put together. In addition, the DLC weapons and vehicles were a bad idea. DLC skins that could have gone on anything would have been much more effective. It would have been nice if the new level packs contained new weapons also.

Still, single player is actually viable now since it runs smooth and looks far better. Grinding on 360 was painful because of the slowdown, here this isn't an issue and trying all the classes is a lot of fun.

I've got almost 40 hours in already and thats having beaten 2017 and 2025 on 360, so its good and definitely worth it even if you've played the previous ones. In fact I feel like I'm unlocking things too fast and wish there were more weapons to draw it out longer!

Early Access Review
Is it fun yet? Also, paid DLC for a game that still isn't out of early access? Really? How many times can lame devs ruin dinosaur games before we get a good one?

All I wanted was literally to do what the art suggests, ride a raptor with a machine gun.

Lots of complaints of missing features... This game has one big feature thats being overlooked - FUN! It reminds me of Vigilante 8 but without guns and actual racing. The devs clearly sacrificed some extras like driver views, more complex upgrades, etc. but they made sure to actually make it enjoyable. Its probably the most fun you'll have with an arcade racer on Steam! I would love to see a second game building off this one. Besides some biased ai and poorly balanced levels (Knock-off early game - easy late game) its really good. Also, it seems you can't earn campaign money after completing it - upgrading everything is not the way to go (get that truck!). Grab it on a sale and have a ton of fun!!!
