Some games brag about being open ended and free to play, but Fallout is the only game that means it. If you don't like something about the gameplay, there's a damn good chance that you can take a different approach. Don't want to attack head on? Sneak around. Hate guns? Get a baseball bat. Fallout also has some of the best graphics and can definately compete with other games, especially with third party mods installed.

I love this game, if you can spare the money you should definately get it.

Elements of all the best Post Apocoliptic games mixed together into a fantastic game. Complete with amazing gameplay and fantastic visuals. The only bad thing about this game is that it wasn't longer.
