It's nicely done, it looks amazing, it's fun to play and there are many cool mods on the way (hopefully).
But, if you've enjoyed the previous Elder Scrolls (pre-Oblivion), you will notice a lot of things missing. Reputation, to name something I miss most. You gained a rank in the Imperial army or in the Mage guild? Oh great! But who cares, 10 seconds later I don't even know what rank I am anyway. All I know is that I will be head of the guild/army/whatever at the end of the road anyway.
Which brings me to the second issue: The entire world revolves around you. You can be leader of everything at the same time; people you've never met before will already take you as superior.
Third, the quests are extremely shallow and often pointless. Travel all over the map to retrieve a flute that happens to end up in a dungeon, surprise. Someone suspects someone to steal from him? Oh no problem, the evidence is nicely written down in his table.
A fun little RPG.
Definitely recommended for people who like tower-defense, mixed with hack-and-slash.
For everyone who likes a beautifully crafted adventure game. Everyone who loves gaming at night while enjoying some tea. Get. This. Game.
