Approach with caution, SotS2 is still a work in progress. Advanced graphic settings are unoptimized and will lag even on a super gaming PC, advertised features are still being tested and implemented, and unexpected crashes/game-breaking bugs are the law of the land. Suggest buying the SotS1 complete pack over this unless you really, REALLY want SotS2.

Like any id software game, once you tweak the settings and config files, you'll find RAGE to be a fairly fun FPS. Don't expect an open interactive world RPG like STALKER or Fallout, the money's in the gun shooting, vehicle combat, and surprising AI with a few set pieces. RAGE may not be a complete technical and graphical revolution, but it's a good step in the right direction. Wait for a sale and give it a whirl, I think you'll like it.

Buy this ONLY if you can't get your arcade-y shoot up fix anywhere else. Terrible writing/voice-acting and keyboard controls, pretty explosions and plane models, modestly campy soundtrack and presentation, and decent gamepad controls. No one plays the multiplayer. Best played with a joystick and control keymapper.
