The game is addicting and fun to play. Character creation alone can take up to an hour, simply because you're given so many options for your characters right out of the gate, and even then, that's only a FRACTION of the actual varieties of costumes/armor available. So if you're disappointed by the lack of a certain item for your character in initial cration, just keep playing. Odds are, it really does exist, you just need to beat a quest or get it as a drop first.
Gameplay is nice and smooth, combat is fun, and just because you hit the level cap doesn't mean you're as strong as the man of steel. Far from it. Hitting the level cap is where singleplayer training ends, and the true multiplayer experience really begins.
With Steam Summer Camp around, I figured I'd re-write this.
If you hate cutesy, I reccommend you still try the Demo. This is a very nice game, right down to the core gameplay.
It's less about actually selling the items, as much as dungeon crawling your ass off, with a lot of enjoyable characters, with fleshed out subplots, if you look for them.
I play with an Xbox controller, and the gameplay is much smoother, imo, with it, compared to the keyboard.
One thing to note is that you need to save manually. There is no autosave.
5/5, as long as you don't hate cutesy, or anime.
It's a simple game, but it's INCREDIBLY addicting! And with Zen Garden mode, it just gets even more addicting as you hunt down plants for your personal garden, selling ones that you don't want to help expand your agricultural army. I'm serious. And the Zen Garden can be used as a money-maker in other ways, as the plants you keep happy drop money. It's a fun game, and it just keeps getting better.
