This game is far from perfect, but it has excellent writing, top-notch music, and one of the most detailed and fun to explore sandbox worlds I've ever experienced. Definitely worth your time and money.

This game is stylish, polished, and a lot of fun. Yet another testament to the concept that a well-polished modernized-retro game can be better than a $100-million-budgeted AAA game. As with the best stealth games, it's essentially a puzzle game in disguise, with the added bonus of terrorizing henchmen (to the point of even giving score bonuses if a guard sees a particularly gruesome sight, like the body of a fellow guard hanging from a lamppost). Give it a try, definitely worth your time and money.

This may just be the best game I've played this year. The gameplay is fairly old-fashioned: with your choice of two weapons (out of 11), go to various levels and kill stuff till you reach the end. I particularly like that virtually all your customization options are choices, rather than straight upgrades. For instance, each weapon upgrade is a choice of two upgrades - say, faster aiming vs. increased damage - that can be switched around at will between levels. What sets it apart is the storytelling. The environments are incredibly detailed, and the very well-acted narration fills the player in on the world without ever using a straight infodump. I can't honestly criticize anything about the game. Buy this game as soon as you can.
