Now that Team Fortress 2 is free to play there is absolutely no excuse not to try it. A love for hats is beneficial, but not essential.
The Monkey Island series is one of, if not the best selection of adventure games ever made. If you’ve never taken the time to play the original outing, perhaps because you’re not particularly attracted to its 8-bit coating, this is the perfect opportunity to remove the gaping hole in your life.
The Special Edition looks great, and shares much of the voice cast from The Curse of Monkey Island - namely Dominic Armato as the definitive Guybrush Threepwood. All of the original, startlingly hilarious witticisms have been faithfully retained, too. There’s really no excuse for not owning this.
