Game List

{-FFF-} Soul

I am grudgingly forced to concede, after 200+ hours, that this is easily in the top 5 best games ever made.

A great idea and interesting implementation all ruined by terrible pacing. Do not recommend.

This game is simple and engrossing as hell. Easy to pick up and put down to pass a few minutes.

This is still, even with Skyrim, the best Elder Scrolls game to date. Sorry, haters.

This game changes the style and whatnot drastically from the first two, but dials up the hilarious dialogue and monsters. What it lacks in graphical quality it more than makes up for in tactical complexity and non-stop laughs.

Yo fans of Dredmor! This expansion is free, but isn't automatic, so make sure you grab it!

This game is a super fun rhythm game full of neat tunes and attractive artwork. The cast of irritatingly smug hipsters is tolerable and the gameplay is fresh as hell and a fun challenge for anyone familiar with Stepmania or similar fare.

Highly recommended for anyone who isn't a noob, or adventurous types who are.

This shit is pretty fun, way huge and fairly challenging. It's a bit of a grind, though, so be aware of that if you're not a fan of the long haul.

This game is one of the best shooters of the past decade. Play it nao.

This game is simple, ugly, choppy and poorly-designed. It is also funny as fuck, especially if you've ever played a JRPG. In fact, I would not be surprised if it was originally a pretty ordinary JRPG, which the guy who wrote the English subtitles for decided to turn it into a non-stop orgy of satire. Well worth a chuckle, if you can tolerate low-budget isometric turn based RPGs.

This game really requires no recommendation, but here it is anyway. Play it. This game more than lives up to the pedigree created by its predecessor. If you haven't played the original yet, well...what the hell are you doing here? Go play it. It'll make you want to play the sequel more than anything I can possibly say here.

This game is hilarious and awesome. It's buggy, but they're actively patching it right now, which should fix up the random crashes.

This game takes us back to the halcyon days when games were, as standard, too hard for anyone but the severely autistic or those made from robotic augmentations to complete. However, the gameplay is streamlined to remove the punishing frustration of re-doing the entire game when you run out of lives. The difficulty also scales cleverly - to simply complete a level isn't too difficult, but if you want to collect all the bandages, get A+ grades and complete the warp levels, things are going to get crazy hard. The mechanics are easy to get the hang of, and the soundtrack is fantastic. Definitely recommended.

This game is serious business. Not in itself (the British banter and cheesy pseudo-plot are pretty amusing), but rather in that it's difficult. A very steep learning curve and an at-times unsympathetic fan base can make it hard to get into, but if you do, it's an exciting and well-designed challenge.

An engrossing test of spatial awareness and forward planning. Simple to learn, but gets extremely tricky very quickly.

I biggest, glaring flaw with this game is that the series has been indefinitely post-poned. A real shame - the first two instalment were fantastic fun.

One of the greatest RPGs of all time, with engaging characters, simple but involving combat mechanics and a plot which actually deserves the term "epic", at least comparatively. If you can bring yourself to, well worth completing the first game and carrying your character across to this one - improves the experience immensely.

Simply the best co-op shooter currently available. Be sure to avoid the Australian version, however, which has been unforgivably raped by the nanny state we seem to have developed here.

Clever and beautiful. The music and artwork are stunning, and the puzzles suitably fiendish. I strongly recommend it to everyone.

This game is fucking awesome. I recommend it to everyone who isn't prone to epileptic fits, without reservation.

Internet/Game culture references, poker and achievements: a trifecta of good times.

I strongly recommend, if you play this game, turning the chatter down to a minimum, as the conversations are only funny the first time. Also, lack of multiplayer is a disappointment.

This game is a pretty cool guy. Eh has a lot of bugs and dosen't afraid of anything.

Seriously though, like many Obsidian titles, it's tragically worth playing despite the bugs. Just save frequently. It has the great storyline and characters missing from Fallout 3, at the cost of some of the design slickness.

PLAY IT.

Actually, it's pretty dated now and the senstitivity takes some effort to set up, but if you can get it going it's one of the most delightful games ever.
