I played Dota1 and this sequal retains all of the things which make that game great, and adds in much needed stuff like matchmaking, voice support and general network robustness. Once the tuition stuff comes in there should be no reason for anyone to not enjoy this game!
Deep, tactical play while also being somewhat easy to pick up and play. Best indie game I've got. Also the nicest community I've found and I don't know why...!
So good I own it 3 times. The AI has a decent number of bugs which are wide open to abuse, and by endgame heroes are so overpowered they can kill everything else on the map single handed, but if you want a nice cute TBS give the campaign a try, if you like it there are thousands of custom maps available online to increase the longevity. 12 years I've been coming back to this game now!
