Defender of the single-player experience. It probably says something about gamers that I'd rather deal with even lousy AI than play games with or against other human beings. Therefore multiplayer is invitation-only challenge matches with close friends. Keep that in mind before you ask.

Boxing writer by trade, accounting student because of what boxing writers make, and gamer by pure passion.

I'm friendly. You just wouldn't know it from the "beware of Fox" sign out front.

It may have taken Haemimont Games a good five tries to get Imperium Romanum right, but Grand Ages: Rome is probably the only truly competent Roman city builder currently extant---the use of RTS-style global resource gathering may not be terribly complex, but there's an elegant simplicity to it that makes the game more fun than frustrating, something the Caesar series never mastered.

A surprisingly good little trading sim, you could say it aims low and hits its mark. Not a lot of replay value here but fun if you can get it for under $15 or so.

Old World Blues does what The Pitt from Fallout 3 originally tried to---creates a great story with an industrial backdrop. Without spoiling too much, the way this story resolves will surprise you---like most of the writing in New Vegas, it rewards you to listen to the dialogue/read the subtitles and think about how you wish to proceed. Not bad for ten bucks.
