So gameplay wise, there isn't much here. That's a big deal, and actually a killer of a statement most of the time. But in the case of To The Moon, I didn't really care. The story is just too good. I dare you to go through To The Moon and be emotionally unaffected. It's beautiful, and that's really the only way to describe it.

Buy the original game on GoG. The Enhanced Edition is broken, and it seems mods for the original can match or surpass many of the "enhancements".

"Losing is fun". FTL is a spaceship management game with rogue-like elements. I've heard it described as an RPG where your ship is the main character. That works for me. Whatever it is, it's fun. It can also be remarkably tense. Say you're in need of some scrap and are faced with a decision of whether you attempt to rescue other spacefarers (who could just be pirates laying a trap and could try to horribly murder you) or leave them and their potential rewards. That sort of thing makes this game great.

It's simple enough so anyone could get into it, but deep enough to keep you coming back and trying things differently every time.
