Top 20 Favorite Games
1. Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are my all time favorite game. I included both because of them being similar. With perfect controls, memorable music and some of the best gameplay ever. Each planet having its one unique gravitational pull. I can safely say that both of these games are the best of the 3D Mario games also Yoshi is great.

2. Dragon Age Origins
I have so many hours playing this game, and I find myself going back each time, with a good story and strongly written lovable characters, with excellent world building, and with excellent combat making it my favorite RPG.

3. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
By far my most favorite Metal Gear game. Lot's of memorable moments, from the boss fights, with the tragic story of The Boss and the man who would become Big Boss. Controls are little wonky now a days but still a great game.

4. Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess & Wind Waker
I love both of these games Wind Waker's happy colorful world in contrast to Twilight Princess's dark and gloomy world. Both have great game play and great memorable boss fights, with Wind Waker having the best Ganondorf fight and Twilight Princess having the best Ganondorf.

Special Mention Ocarina, Loved it equally to WW and TP, and it has the best Ganon fight in the series.

5. Yakuza 0 & Serious Sam: Second Encounter
My very first Yakuza game was 0, so I guess it was a really good game to start with. I was generally really surprised on how much I enjoyed this game. The story and characters like Kiryu and Majima and got me hooked with great gameplay. I had to put this in my top 5.

I played a lot of Serious Sam back in the day, it feels great to load the game and just be a one man unstoppable army. Great for stress relief.

6. Harvest Moon FoMT & Harvest Moon 64
Honestly it's super difficult to pick a favorite between the two. I started with 64 but I put more time into Friend of Mineral Town. I generally enjoyed the game play and the rather laid back calming game play. However HM 64 is the the opposite.HM 64 is more difficult with its shorter days. It's easy to pick up and play but difficult to master. However its much more well rounded. But to picking a favorite between the two is impossible for me.

Special Mention Stardew Valley. It's everything I love about Harvest Moon but more.

7. Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door
Paper Mario was my first RPG. While a great game itself, The Thousand Year Door expanded upon the previous game with memorable companions, side characters, dialogue, combat, and writing.

8. Donkey Kong Country 2 & Tropical Freeze
DKC is a great game with issues, however Rare fixed many of those issues and in doing so made it a legendary game. From its difficulty to the boss fights being an actual challenge. However, Retro Games has shown that they can make a Donkey Kong game on par with Rare. Tropical Freeze has by far the best level design ever making it another legendary game. Side note David Wise is an amazing composer and is an industry legend.

9. Yoshi's Island & Super Mario World
Yoshi's was the first ever platformer I completed as a young child. Sure baby Mario is annoying but regardless I love this game with its perfect game play, memorable soundtrack and its overall design.
Super Mario World would be the second platformer I ever completed, albeit not 100% the secret world was a little to difficult for me, but regardless these two are probably two of the best Mario games on the SNES.

10. Super Mario 64
Kind of surprising to see Super Mario 64 this far up the list. Well even to this day this game is a masterpiece and has aged super well. It set the industry standards for how 3D platformers should feel and play.

11. Donkey Kong 64 & Banjo Kazooie
December 25th 1999, on that day I got a Jungle Green N64 bundled with DK 64 and another game. Now I know how divisive DK 64 is with its massive 3800+ things to collect. However I have nothing but fond memories of this game, I understand the criticism but those memories will elevate to one of my favorites. The second game however was Banjo Kazooie another great collectathon with Grunty being a really difficult but epic boss fight that tested my patience as a kid.

12. Okami HD
I never fully gave Okami a chance, I played it on the Wii very briefly but the controls kept me from really enjoying it so I dropped it. But something inside kept telling me that this is going to be one of my favorites, So I finally caved and bought the HD collection on PC. And yes I was really missing out by playing the Wii version. I love this game from the characters and story to the gameplay itself. Amaterasu is just adorable.

13. Luigi's Mansion
The mansion has such an eerie atmosphere and really adds to the immersion. The portrait ghosts and the Boos are great with their unique charm and personality. With each Boo having their own unique name based pun. Top it off with some fun gameplay and it makes for a good game to play during the spooky month.

14. Kirby Return to Dreamland
After replaying this game I have to say this is my favorite Kirby game ever. With the sheer amount of copy abilities in the game (23) that are completely unique with each of them other having a varied move set, overall makes for a fun platforming experience. Poyo

15. Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur's Gate 3 gives me the same feeling Origins does. Larian took obvious inspiration from Origins and it shows, and for that I love this game it's got so much depth to it, combat is great, the world building is on par with Origins, the overall writing is great and Shadowheart and Karlach are both best girl.

16. Half Life 2 & Episode 1 & 2
While I do really like the first Half Life, I like Half Life 2 more, from its characters to the world building set on a dying Earth, with combat I find so satisfying. I also find this game gives me an uneasy feeling, the first Half Life I feel tension but with 2 I feel this strange uneasy lonely feeling.

17. Halo 2 & Halo 3
Halo 2 has the best story and introduced my second favourite character, The Arbiter. The parallels between Chief and the Arbiter one the hero and the other, the heretic whose life was built on nothing but lies. I never did have a 360 so I missed out on Halo 3, but with the MCC on Steam now I got to play it, and I really liked it, story wasn't as good as Halo 2's but its a good game to end the story on, really great levels (except for Cortana) The Ark and Covenant are two of the best levels in the series, with the final warthog run being pure hype.

18. Yakuza Kiwami 2
After 0 I looked into the rest of the Yakuza games. And holy hell Kiwami 2 is amazing, love the game play, story is weird at the end but still enjoy it. Majima's side story was amazing and Ryuji is an awesome villain.

19. Deep Rock Galactic
With it's tight, fun and addictive gameplay this makes for a great horde shooter. Enemies, biomes and classes being unique add so much, each weapon being powerful and satisfying to use. Rock and Stone

20. Pokemon Heart Gold & Platinum
I really loved the original Pokemon Gold I put the most time in that game, however the remake really enhanced my love for Gold. With the sheer amount of content and even having your Pokemon follow behind you, it's just one of the best Pokemon games. The fact Platnium added more story with Giratina and the whole Distortion world and even adding more end game content makes Platinum the superior Gen 4 game and makes it a must play. Also has my favorite champion Cynthia, she actually is a difficult fight and best girl.

Honorable Mention Team Fortress 2
TF2 will be the only non mmo online game I really like. I met so many good friends on TF2 Boss, Maze, Blackheart, Topp, Masive, Spooky just to name a few.
