Early Access Review
I was excited for a return to something like Tribes: Ascend but I don't think this is it. It just felt like a hollow shell of what T:A was as an experience - a lack of gear variety, base gameplay totally neutered and vehicles not even present.

This is the most barebones experience possible and while everything is functional it just felt completely soulless to me. Not sure if there's a great long-term player or community outlook here either: I can't see this having any real staying power.

If you're desperate to play tribes this seems like a passable experience but I certainly don't think it captures the "magic"

Wage slavery and horrendously unsafe working conditions have never been so fun for the whole gang.

A worthy sequel to the original in just about every aspect - fans of the first or of puzzle games in general must play.

The only thing is I wish some of the mechanics were combined a bit more for some more difficult puzzles - on the whole I found the difficulty a bit easier than the original game and nothing truly stumped me. I found myself yearning for something that put these mechanics together in a way that rivalled the challenge of the Gehenna DLC from the original. The gold puzzles were good but in hindsight I'd have liked more of the main game had a similar level of difficulty.

Early Access Review
Promising, not too much to do at the moment, about 4-5 hours of stuff. I feel the core gameplay loop could be tidied up and the resource balance tweaked, I often found myself plonked down shooting at passing materials to get what I need. Runs really horribly at 1440p too.

I'd love to see the sites of interest expanded upon, perhaps with more puzzle mechanics, and maybe some stuff to make the downtime more interesting too (creature attacks? more weather phenomena?).

Fans of subnautica or raft will enjoy but I'd wait until this is more fully baked unless you *really* want to play it now. That aside I think there's a solid base here and I enjoyed what I did play so excited for a more polished release

I've never played the original Hawken but whatever this is, it ain't it.

Braindead enemy AI, movement feels clunky and weird, jittering all over the place, microtransactions in a barely functional game, weapon feedback feels poor, voice acting is all over the place, the maps feel like a mess and are confusing to navigate, UI is full of placeholder strings, tutorials telling me to do things with materials I don't have and I was repeatedly being booted out of the server while simply looking at the menu. The list goes on.

I know it's early access and all but this needed a lot more time in the oven - it's a long way from being a functional experience let alone a good one. Definitely not best foot forward.

Oozes style and is a great subversion of the typical card based roguelite. The card game itself is solid but there is a very thoughtful connection between the mechanics of the game itself and an intriguing metanarrative.

Best of it's style in a while and definitely worth your time if you have even a passing interest in this sort of game.
