Alice: Madness Returns is without a doubt one of the most fun games I've played in a while. The movement and platforming elements and well made and combat is fluid and flawless. The core of the game is insanity; violent, desperate, is hopeless insanity- quickly covered up by a Wonderland created by Alice to get away from life. But even that area goes insane quickly and the tense tone of desperation and hopelessness comes into play pretty quickly

I could write for pages about how wonderful the setting is, between the colors, the interaction, etc, but I wouldn't do it justice. The way she moves in combat too; fluid swings, the awesome dodge animation, hell the whole dodge mechanic, and the hectic numbers that get sent your way, mixed with the wonderfully challenging platformer experience, dashed with bits of secrets that make you feel good when you find them, put this game easily into my top 5.

MOTHER OF GOD!!! There is SO MUCH GAME! And it's fun! Do whatever the hell you want, no one cares. Just buy this game and play it till your eyes bleed. GODAMN

Don't let the bad reviews keep you from playing this game, it feels very much like an old-school shoot-em-up with a few misguided attempts at keeping up with the kids.
