A game that is actually funny. Interesting characters, concepts and story. Controls for the 3d platforming are a bit unusual and take some getting used to. Difficulty curve is really weird. It's still worth it for the characters and sense of humour. The Meat Circus has been re-balanced and I hope that helps because that's where I got stuck.

Best designed game that hates me. However, I love it all the same. It's a punishing platformer but death doesn't cause the game to stop. The levels are scaled to be managable and to prevent the player from feeling overly discouraged. Take breaks if needed and I personally wouldn't recommend a marathon style playthrough of this game. Retro challenges are interesting, if somewhat brutal. Also, there are interesting and unique unlockable characters.

Finally, a fantasy RPG that has choices that aren't just black or white. Writing and characterization are definitely the strengths of Dragon Age. Combat requires occasional pausing the game and queuing up moves for your four characters. You can switch between controlling any of the four characters in your party on the fly. Your main character's origin story definitely helped start the game on a strong note.
