I tried this game for the gag, disgusting. I hate you people.

The core gameplay itself is still there the mechs feel chunky and look cool as ♥♥♥♥'. the guns are nice. but I'm guessing all thats just left over because it's just based on the old game, Everything else "just isn't good." the worlds and atmosphere don't look the same. it's boring and bland unlike the originals almost gieger looking stuff. I will give it credit for keeping scale though.
The voice acting and story are the biggest flaws. It's just terrible. cliche and boring. Theres also no setting for adjusting the keybinds as far as I know. I said the gameplay wasn't bad, but that doesn't include the way combat flows. The foot soldiers are just an annoyance they don't do any damage. They are just cannonfodder to slow you down your progress. and in the beginning you start with a machinegun which makes killing them even slower. the mech ai is simple they know where you are circle and shoot. it does maneuver the terrain well . but makes chasing them down frustrating. it just feels like playing a bot match and it's not satisfying to fight.

With all that being said I think if you enjoyed hawken you should give it a try just for the nostalgia. it really is a shame it's been bombarded with negative reviews just for not being the same game, because I feel like if given a chance they could have added the multiplayer back.

All it has going for it is the style. The cards could be fun BUT you don't start with every card and cards have levels which is the nail in the coffin KINDA TERRIBLE. rng mechanics in a match is fine but when their rng can be better than yours card levels or just better cards thats when it starts to suck. ALSO the music isn't that great the "theme" music I find personally grating. Edit: apparently controllers also get aim assist. so another negative.

If they would make it so it paused when the game is minimized that would be great. I have had it minimize on me multiple times and get me killed. Also if they would add bodytypes I feel like it's been abandoned and left for moders to clean it up.

Just makes me miss shattered horizon, it's okay. I had fun for how long I played literally one match. but it doesn't really have substance. the characters don't have any info and look generic they should have made them faceless or be able to customize the characters instead of having them just be boring. Theres none for guns at all no picking attachments it's all classlocked. it's just a cod clone with a nasa skin. theres better zero g shooters out there..or was.

I can't tell when I am getting hit theres no reaction at all. I see people with chinese names some of the weapons don't even work, not good.

Literally my favorite game.

This game was NOT ready, but they needed that money. it crashes constantly and has too many bugs to count.

And besides that IT JUST AINT' GOOD. They focused too hard on making an overwatch clone and not a gundam game. There's no sense of scale you don't feel like you're piloting a giant robot and just feels like a generic shooter. the maps are just arenas with cars sprinkled around and maybe a human sized building to remind you. No destructible environments even though again..giant robot. You have unlimited ammo and can just keep spamming (even with non beam weapons like rockets.) despite there being healthkit stations everywhere which could easily give ammo. Speaking of which the health kits are just haro holograms not like a resupplytruck/building or something that would make sense or be interesting.

I was really hyped for this and excited. now I'm just waiting on the next chance at a gundam game.

I recommend giving it another try, I thought it was dead but I came back and they added a lot of quality of life things like; area loot and highlighting things you haven't looted.
They are still adding "battlepass'" aswell, things like where you're rewarded for doing dailys (no payment involved). and new items.

I won't say it's great I will say it's enjoyable though. Everyone complains about the weird glitches and hit detection, But I was born into oblivion molded by newvegas. I didn't see a patch till I was already a man. by then bugs were nothing to me.
Seriously though it is buggy. There's a lot of weird things that happen but nothing that crashes me and that's all I care about really. it's stable.
