Panda:Eats,Shoots and Leaves is a free cute VR pvp game world. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has voice chat. Multiplayer shooter game. Movement is gorilla tag style. I just happen to be on when someone else was on.

CONS: Nobody is playing now.

Try this free game, you might like it.

Hash Oasis is a free VR immersive social platform. It worked on my Index system, sounded ok, looked ok, played ? Was not understandable. UI was not translated to english. Nothing to do. I made some guesses and made it inside using my steam account. Not sure if the Index is supported.

Don't bother downloading this free immersive social platform, unless you know how to read Chinese.

Anne Frank House VR is a Free VR experience where you can experience Anne Frank’s hiding place as it was in 1942-1944. Wander through the rooms, where Anne Frank and 7 others hid during WW2. Immerse yourself in her world, her thoughts, and her feelings. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was understandable. Has voice overs in English of a girl reading Anne's quotes. Interesting but sad.

Try this free experience, if you are interested in history.

Early Access Review
Welme is a free Early Access 3D game that thinks it works in VR. It worked somewhat on my Index system, looked ok, sounded ok.

CONS:
- Nobody using this.
- No servers working, always " In Maintenance".
- Not sure if this is being worked on by devs.

Don't bother downloading.

SCP: Blackout is a Free to play VR survival mode game in the SCP universe. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, sounded ok, played ok. Was a paid product at one time, now it is free to play. There is a nice lobby and a survival mode.

CONS: This game is going to be or is abandoned, the dev recently stated they lost most of the game code in production to corrupted hard drive with no backup.

Try this free game, then delete it, it has no future, or Don't bother downloading.

Dreamland is a Free to Play VR game. It worked with my Index to a point, looked ok, played no, sounded ? I have no controllers when i launch into lobby, there is a menu and then the game quickly closes it's self. Not sure if there is a server up at the devs. Sound like they are cloning RecRoom. Does not work with Index. Store says it supports HTC Vive, Quest, Rift.

Don't bother downloading at this time, if you have Steam Index system.

HyperBody is a Free VR experimental VR walking simulator blending architectural ruins, cult themes, sensorial vibes, and queer narratives. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was barely understandable. There is no or minimal instructions in-game. You need to start the program by the desktop and have your keyboard in reach to change the maps. There are six maps with different themes to see. Read the manual from the store page for instructions. Mostly 3D digital art, pictures and sound, placed in virtual space. Nothing to interact with in-game. Movement mode is Flying by gaze with left joystick to provide movement direction. Chinese text with some English translation. You will be clipping through a lot of things, very little hit detection.

Maybe try this free experience, only if you are into Art.

TurnSignal is a free VR utility program for SteamVR. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, worked ok.

Where this program does excel however, is the height adjustment setting. You can set the 'flower' to the height of that fan/light/beam that you keep hitting while trying to throw grenades and swing melee weapons around, now you have an in game chaperone style overlay letting you know where your IRL height limit is so you don't shatter that glass light bulb right above your head or break your controller on something.

The only issue I had was that over time, it would drift, meaning it's showing that my cable is twisting when it's not. If you download this https://github.com/kylerk/TurnSignal/releases/tag/2.4.6KWK
made by kylerk, it will completely fix the issue. That also adds other options, including a front facing arrow which is extremely helpful.

Use this free program, if you have a cable attached to your HMD.
