Killing Floor is an FPS that delivers on everything it advertises. Originally a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004, the Tripwire team decided to take the game to the next level and make it standalone and i'm so glad they did. One of the biggest highlights of the game is it's difficulty. If playing on levels past Hard, co-operation is vital and a lack of it is usually the cause for you getting grinded up in a large amount of meaty chunks, so it definitly is 'Co-op and survival'. The 'Horror' aspect, tends to be lost by it's lighthearted humour used by the characters ingame and the zombies themselves, which tend to get dressed up in the frequent free DLC released by the Tripwire devs.
On the downside, the game itself is very simple and the lasting appeal tends to be lost fairly quickly, meaning players will find themselves tiring of the game after a few rounds, but it is still easy to come back to the game and everything feel fresh and fun.

Easily one of the greatest games this decades. If you are the type of person who enjoys exploring a rich and detailed world with lots of backstory and hidden secrets, this is likely the game for you. There are a few issue that new players may have a hard time adjusting to, the combat system being the biggest one, but if you are able to look past a few of it's gameplay flaws, you are in for one of the most rewarding experiences ever.
