Awesomenauts is similar to both LoL and Dota 2, but it's better than both of them.
It features brilliant characters to play, with another added every month, with wonderfully crafted 2D maps for use in 3v3 battles. It is a bit more of a casual experience than most MOBA's, though it is not much less skill based - arguably more so in fact due to the skill required when aiming.
The community is friendly, bots replace disconnectors, and in the first place a 3v3 means less chance of annoying team mates, what's not to like?

Oh and the soundtrack is incredible, with each character having their own theme tune and killing spree BGM.
Highly recommend.

This game has the best A.I. that I have ever seen.
Yes, that is a hook. Do you want to be fighting braindead enemies rather than those who can actually present a challenge? Probably not.
Besides that, an interesting style and variety of weaponry available makes this an actual fun FPS among the swath of utter crap.
