a great multiplayer game with a much too small of a community of what it deserves. Despite being out for almost 6 years now, it still holds up nicely. it's really
nicely done, sprinting down a hallway with a pool cue in hand, praying that your hunter is around the corner, and wildly trying to find the guy you're supoused to kill without rasing too much suspcion (lest have your head blow off by some other player, thinking you're their hunter}
Often I'll find myself acting out and pretending to be doing other things while trying to hit someone, like rummaging through cabinets, or maybe taking a riskier move and try following some other guy. while that's good for making your target a bit more confortable with you, you've also just risked getting your skull bashed in.
Honestly, you should really try this game, it's great fun and I'm not sure how much longer the player's will play. this is really something that I'll stick with, because when it goes down this time, it goes for good
Deus Ex is a first person shooter RPG with vairying story elements and multiple path levels.
that's the desripction I'd normally give if I hadn't beaten the game.
Deus Ex is a brilliant story-driven RPG with some charm to it. if charm is considered to be narmy voice acting and a fun, interestingly conflicted story. now, this game comes with many faults (mostly because of its obvious age. mostly.) but with its story that reacts to more what you do than you say, and its large variances and changes of narrative throughout the game it's worth wading through the less appealing half to an hour of the game. And mind you, this game can take a good 18 - 27 hours to complete. the higher end of that scale there being if you decide to be stealthy, this is a Ventilation shaft riddled game, and it doesn't take away any amount of time to crawl through the miles of the stuff. So I'd say, get it, give it an hour or two of your life, and see if it drags you in. and don't be stealthy.
