A lot of people the response for this DLC out in the Internets is that this is just a throwaway mission pack; well, it's not. In fact, it's probably the most interesting diversion New Vegas has to offer, with a totally different gameplay scenario and mechanics that really compliment the scenario entirely. Buy it, nao.

It's a semi-open world platformer with a basic machanic of reversing the direction of gravity. But it's more than just that, oh so much more than that. Each stage is staggeringly difficult with its insistance on timed reversals of gravity to get from A to B all while avoiding all of the bad stuff. VVVVVV is all bundled in an 8-bit aesthetic that's absolutely scrumptious. But it. Nao.

I can't fully write a review in a paragraph's space, so I won't. I will say that The Void is one of the most uncanny games that I've ever played. It's considered by many to be an "art game", which is usually a loaded term. Most so-called "art games" deliver on aesthetic and creative direction that's bound in the audio-visual realms; gameplay is a minimal secondary in terms of design objectives. Ice-Pick Lodge, however, delivers an art game on the basis of creativity in all realms in the video game medium, most importantly providing a gameplay experience that surpasses the mechanics in the most intricate of immersive sims.
